Das war es nun also - das erste Kapitel unserer Weltreise. Neuseeland wird uns definitiv sehr gut in Erinnerung bleiben. Es hat uns wahnsinnig gut gefallen, wenn auch die Südinsel übertrumpft. Auf der Südinsel herrscht viel mehr Ruhe und Gelassenheit, während im Norden alles ein bisschen hektischer ist. Beide sind sehr ähnlich wie die Schweiz, einfach grösser und offener.

Speziell in Erinnerung bleiben mir:

- die Gastfreundschaft der meisten Einheimischen

- es hat definitiv mehr Schafe und Kühe als Einwohner

- das Örtchen Wanaka hat es uns besonders angetan - hierher kommen wir sicher wieder

- meine kleinen Freunde die Sandflys werde ich ganz sicher nicht vermissen 😝

- die Campingmöglichkeiten sind gerade auf der Südinsel überragend

Nun sitzen wir hier am Gate und warten auf den Flug ins nächste Kapitel......Hawaiii...

So. This was it - the first chapter of our trip around the world. New Zealand will stay in our memories very positively. We liked it very much although the South Island was way nicer. In the south it is way quieter and people are more calm as in the north everything is a little hectic. But both are similar to Switzerland just bigger and wider. Specially memorized will be:

- the hospitslity of most of the Natives

- it has definitely more sheeps and cows than habitants

- the little town Wanaka very much got to us - for sure we are going back there 

- i will not miss my friends the sandflies

- the camping possibilities are specially outstanding on the South Island

Now we are sitting at the gate and are waiting for our flight to the next chapter... Hawaii....
