Die letzten drei Tage waren wir im "The Mirage" Hotel einquartiert. Das Motto des Mirage ist die Vulkanlandschaft vor dem Hotel, welcher drei mal täglich am Abend 'ausbricht'. Die Show war toll gemacht. Wir hatten das Glück ein Zimmer im 14. Stock zu haben, so konnten wir das ganze noch von Oben beobachten. Ebenfalls super gemacht ist die Wassershow vor dem Bellagio, welche halbstündlich den ganzen Tag verschiedene Darbietungen liefert. Die drei Tage vergingen wie im Flug, wir liefen den Strip auf und ab und besichtigten alle Casino und Hotels die uns gefielen. Was den Tag durch schon extrem eindrücklich ist, ist in der Nacht unglaublich. Es war genau so, wie ich es mir vorgestellt habe. Irgendwie alles übertrieben. Mittwoch und Donnerstag war es noch einiger massen ruhig, aber am Freitag ging es richtig los mit den Menschenmassen. Da war teilweise so gut wie kein durch kommen mehr. Nun waren auch praktisch alle Spieltische in den Casinos besetzt. Natürlich gehörte auch ein Abstecher zum Golden Nugget Hotel auf die To Do Liste. Das erste Hotel, mit dem und zusammen mit der Fremont Street, der ganze Las Vegas Mythos begann. Kurz gesagt, der ganze Strip-Wahnsinn auf noch engerem Raum, aber man muss es gesehen haben. Als Abschluss gönnten wir uns am Freitagabend einen Ausflug auf den Stratospheretower um den Strip und ganz Vegas von oben zu begutachten. Mein Fazit - Vegas ist definitiv ein Abstecher wert, diese Welt ist schlichtweg unglaublich.
Am Samstagmorgen waren wir aber doch froh, das stressige und wilde Vegas hinter uns zu lassen und zurück in unser ruhiges Campingleben zu kehren.

The last 3 days we stayed at the "Mirage Hotel" in Las Vegas. The Motto of that hotel is a volcano landscape with a volcano that "erupts" 3 times during the evening. The show was very nice to see. We got lucky with a room on the 14th floor to also see the spectacle from above. As well very cool was the "Fountain Show" at the Bellagio which goes off every half hour during the day. The 3 days passed by super fast - we walked up and down the strip and inspected all of the hotels and casinos we liked. What already is fascinating during daylight is just amazing at night. It was exaclty how i'd imagined it. Somehow totally exaggerated. While it was still kind of quiet on Wednesday and Thursday, Friday was just crazy with the masses of People due to the Memorial Day Weekend - there was no get through anymore. Now as well almost all of the tables were busy in the casino. Of course we stopped as well at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino. The very first Hotel - with which and the Freemont Street - the whole Mythos "Las Vegas" started. Short quote: the whole crazyness of the strip but smaller & on less room and still one has to see this. As a close off we did go to the Stratosphere Tower to see the strip and all of Las Vegas from above.
My conclusion: Vegas is definitely worth seeing - this world is simply amazing. BUT: after all we were happy to leave this wild place behind us on saturday morning and go back to our quiet camping life.
