Es war definitiv ein Highlight, der Flug mit dem A380. So viel Komfort und fast keine Fluggeräusche habe ich noch selten erlebt. Als wir dann morgens um 5.30 Uhr in Singapur gelandet sind, waren wir doch sehr überrascht. Am Flughafen herrschte tote Hose. So machten wir uns rasch auf den Weg Richtung Stadtzentrum. Der Ticketkauf war dann doch etwas sehr kompliziert am frühen Morgen, konnte das U-Bahn-Billett doch nur mit Münz bezahlt werden.. Auch das haben wir geschafft und so waren wir pünktlich zum Sonnenaufgang am Marina Bay. Die Temperatur war bereits um diese Zeit im hohen 20ig Grad Bereich und die Luftfeuchtigkeit machte es nicht angenehmer. So blieb unsere Tätigkeit auf einem Minimum. Schnell gingen wir zurück an den Flughafen, gönnten uns eine 16 NZD Dusche und holten ein wenig Schlaf nach. Es war ein anstrengender, heisser, aber toller erster Tag unseres grossen Abenteuers.

It was definitely a highlight - the flight with the A380. I had never before the pleasure of experiencing that much comfort and almost no flight noises... As we landed in Singapore at 5.30 am we were quite surprised: the airport was like dead. So we made ourselfs on the way to the city center but purchasing a ticket this early was a bigger challange than expected due to the fact that we could only pay with coins.. which ofc we did not have. After managing this we arrived on time for the sunrise at marina bay. The temperature was already then in the upper 20degrees scale and the humidity was not supportive either. Therefore our activities remained to the basics. Quickly we went back to the airport to take a well deserved 16NZD shower and a bit of sleep. It was an exhausting, hot but cool first day of our big adventure.
